After seeing our work displayed at a gallery in New York, a client contacted me about creating a sculpture for her dress!
The bride selected an elaborate gown with a nude underlay, and our team worked hard to make sure she got nothing but perfect results.

I began the process the same as every sculpture — I analyzed the dress and figured out how to translate the full-scale garment into a quarter-scale.

I try to keep as many original details as possible when I size down to the quarter-scale. A big challenge in this project was capturing the ultra intricate embroidery at such a small scale.

To ensure that the details would translate to the smaller size, I hand-cut each leaf, flower, and bead, and applied them to the surface of the form.
