This Privacy Policy explains how The Ceramic Bride (Cloth2Clay) (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares information when you visit ceramicbride.com (the “Site”), contact us, sign up for our newsletter or commission a ceramic dress.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact form: your name, email address, phone number and the message you send.
  • Commission / purchase forms: your name, email address, phone number, shipping address, the photos of your dress that you upload, and your order details (product and total).
  • Newsletter sign-up: your email address (and name if provided).

Payments are processed by PayPal or Stripe. You enter your card or PayPal details directly with those providers; we do not receive or store your full card number. We receive confirmation of the payment and related transaction details.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Site, we and our service providers use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring site, and actions you take (for example, submitting a form or completing a purchase).

How we use information

  • To respond to your enquiries and create, ship and support your commission.
  • To process payments and keep business records.
  • To send our newsletter and updates if you sign up (you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email).
  • To understand how the Site is used and improve it.
  • To measure and improve our advertising, including showing ads to people who have visited the Site.
  • To protect the Site and our forms from spam and abuse.

Services we use and who we share information with

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) – site usage statistics.
  • Google Ads (Google LLC) – conversion measurement and remarketing. When you submit a form, we may send a hashed (encrypted) version of your email address, phone number, name and address to Google to measure conversions more accurately (“enhanced conversions”).
  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) – measuring Facebook and Instagram advertising and building audiences.
  • Google Tag Manager – loads the tags above.
  • Google reCAPTCHA v3 – protects our forms from spam. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google. Its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
  • PayPal and Stripe – payment processing.
  • Mailgun (via the Post SMTP plugin) – delivering emails sent by the Site, such as form notifications and confirmations.
  • Zapier – moving form submissions into the tools we use to manage enquiries and orders.
  • Instagram feed (Smash Balloon plugin, Meta) – displays our Instagram posts on the Site; images may be loaded from Instagram/Meta servers.
  • YouTube (Google LLC) – videos embedded on the Site; when a video loads, YouTube may set cookies and collect information about your device and viewing.
  • Hosting and security – the Site is hosted by SiteGround and served through Cloudflare, which process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and secure the Site.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information if required by law or to protect our rights.

Cookies and your choices

Analytics and advertising cookies are set by Google and Meta. If you visit from the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the United Kingdom, these cookies are not used until you accept them in our cookie banner. To change or withdraw your choice at any time, use the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of any page to reopen the banner, or delete cookies for ceramicbride.com in your browser settings. Visitors elsewhere can block or delete cookies in their browser settings at any time.

You can also opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com, and manage Meta ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.

How long we keep information

We keep inquiry and contact form submissions, emails and uploaded photos for as long as needed to respond to you and handle your inquiry, commission or order, plus a reasonable period for business and legal records (generally up to 3 years after our last contact with you), and then delete them. Google Analytics data is kept for no longer than 14 months. The cb_consent cookie that remembers your cookie choice lasts about 6 months. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the rights described below. To make a request, email us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

European Economic Area, Switzerland and United Kingdom

If you are in the EEA, Switzerland or the UK, the GDPR / UK GDPR give you the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct it; have it erased; restrict or object to our processing of it; receive it in a portable format; and withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it).

Legal bases. We process your information to perform a contract with you or take steps at your request before entering into one (enquiries, commissions, orders, payments and shipping); to comply with legal obligations (tax and business records); for our legitimate interests (running and securing the Site and preventing spam); and on the basis of your consent (analytics and advertising cookies and pixels, and our newsletter).

International transfers. We are based in the United States, and our service providers (including Google, Meta, Stripe, PayPal, Mailgun, Zapier, SiteGround and Cloudflare) may process your information in the United States and other countries. Where required, these transfers rely on safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK Extension and Swiss counterpart) or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).

California residents

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we share it with, and to receive a copy of it;
  • Delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information; and
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

Categories collected in the last 12 months: identifiers (name, email address, phone number, postal address, IP address, cookie and device identifiers); commercial information (products ordered and order totals); internet activity (pages viewed and interactions with the Site and our ads); and content you choose to send us (messages and uploaded photos). We collect this from you directly, from your device, and from our service providers listed above, for the purposes described in "How we use information".

Sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. However, our use of the Meta Pixel and Google Ads remarketing and conversion tags, which allow Meta and Google to collect identifiers and internet activity for advertising, may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. To opt out, email [email protected] with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information". We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals: if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for that browser. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may ask for proof of the agent’s authorization and verify your identity.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
